School Sport

Kids love to be active

Making physical activity a part of their daily routine is not only fun, but also healthy. Physical activity is important for healthy growth and development. It is also a great way for kids to make friends and learn physical and social skills. Our sport program aims to increase opportunities for students to be more active more often, as well as build proficiency in students’ fundamental movement skills.

Children between 5 and 12 years of age greatly benefit from being physically active. To this end our school operates a Morning Fitness Program twice per week as well as organising a variety of different sports to be taught on the nominated sport day each week. These may include gymnastics, team sports (netball, soccer, cricket etc.), athletics, cross country, swimming and dance.

Talented students have the opportunity to perform at representative level through the various pathways and inter-school sports. Our school also organises regional gala days for students in Years 3 to 6 for soccer and  netball.
