Dear Parents and Carers,
What a wonderful way to welcome you all back into our school on Friday. Year 4 hosted a beautiful liturgy and the excitement and sense of community in the school on Friday is something that we have truly missed. I would like to thank all the staff and students who put in so much effort to make it a wonderful afternoon. Thank you for supporting our school by coming along to the celebrations on Friday. For some of you it would have been your first experience of a school event, and for others it has been a very long time since you have been able to join with us, we are looking forward to welcoming you to many more events this year.
COVID Update
COVID is still active in our community, and we are asking that if your child is sick, please keep them home. If you require RAHT tests or any support, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Project Compassion
During the month of Lent, we raise money for Project Compassion. Recently Lilly and Riley from Year 5 represented our school and attended Sunday mass at the Wingham church to talk to the Parish about how we can all work together to support vulnerable people around the world and to raise funds to assist Caritas with projects such as providing fresh water, nutrition, and education for those who don’t have access to these. Lilly and Riley did a wonderful job speaking to the Parish.
Pupil Free Day
Please note that Tuesday the 26th of April will be a pupil free day and Term 2 will start on Wednesday the 27th of April. Our staff will be undertaking training in attachment and trauma.
Diocesan Trials
Congratulations to Lewis Downie, Nicholas Pereira, Charlie Crittenden and Riley Knoke who were selected to trial for the Diocesan team in soccer and football in Raymond Terrace last Friday. It is a great achievement to be selected at a regional level to trial for the Diocesan team and in soccer and football the skill of those students at this level is excellent. The boys represented our school superbly and should be very proud of their achievements. A special congratulations to Charlie who has been selected in the Diocesan football team to trial for the Polding team.
Please join me in saying a prayer for our Year 6 students that they stay safe and have a wonderful time as they head of to camp this week.
God Bless
Week 9 - I do my best work

‘ Being a steward of creation’, ‘trying your best’, ‘speaking with kindness’ and ‘ being a responsible learner’ are some of the qualities that teachers consider when awarding ‘Prime Minister’ at our weekly assembly. It is an acknowledgement of the student’s efforts and they have the privilege of wearing the badge with honour, of suggesting a focus the school can work on, award Gotchas to other students at lunch time as well as earning Gotchas for themselves.
